Christopher
Morehead

Architect

Christopher Morehead’s path began not with theory, but with tools. In the bright sun of Southern California, he worked as a carpenter for many years—shaping wood, framing spaces, learning the logic of structure and finishes. This early work laid the foundation not only for a profession, but for a way of seeing.

He studied at the University of Kentucky College of Architecture and abroad, drawn to the spaces where culture, craft, and landscape meet. For more than twenty years, he has lived and practiced in Costa Rica, a place that has deepened his understanding of simplicity, climate, and connection to land.

His work is rooted in listening—first to the site, then to the people it will hold. Through his firm, Christopher Morehead and Associates, he continues to design and build homes that are elegant, enduring, and sincere. In addition to designing innovative residential homes in developments such as Peninsula Papagayo, he still builds small houses for friends and family, keeping his hands in the work and his heart close to its purpose.
